Tragedy has struck the family of former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lynne Curtin, as her daughter Raquel has died from what authorities describe as a self-inflicted injury.
Details surrounding Raquel’s demise have not yet been fully released, but the news comes just months after her sister, Alexa Curtin, faced legal troubles involving drug-related charges.
Alexa, 26, was arrested by the Irvine Police Department on January 5 for possession of Xanax and drug paraphernalia. She was released the following day after posting bond and later charged with two misdemeanors—possession of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia—on January 16, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s office.
Court records reveal a history of legal issues for Alexa, including prior arrests for driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, vandalism, petty theft, and possession of controlled substances. She reportedly pled not guilty to all charges in August after spending four days in jail.
The Curtin family, who rose to fame on RHOC, has faced a series of personal challenges in recent years. Raquel’s sudden passing marks another devastating chapter for the family, with friends and loved ones now mourning the loss of a young woman gone far too soon.
Authorities have not released further information regarding the circumstances.
